WE VISIT CALLOWAY GARDENS

We attended an Elderhostel at the Auburn University in Auburn Alabama. Most of the 5  day course was spent in classrooms at the college learning about digital photography and how to use the Photoshop program to modify and enhance our pictures.  As a culminating activity we were taken by bus to Calloway Gardens, across the border in Georgia. There we experienced the thrill of walking through a garden surrounded by flying butterflies. Then we visited the various greenhouses, each one featuring plants found in a different climatic zone. As a final treat we were able to see an owl and a vulture that had been trained to perform for visitors. We were busy taking pictures during the entire visit.
